MINT SANDWICHES

2 lb. chocolate (light or dark)
1 lb. white chocolate (or green drops)
2 oz. vegetable shortening

Melt chocolate & 2 oz. vegetable shortening over hot, not boiling, water & add oil base peppermint flavoring. Spread ½ of melted chocolate on waxed paper & set aside until chocolate becomes firm. Spread colored layer (make sure it’s slightly cooled) over first layer. When second layer is firm, spread remaining (slightly cooled) chocolate on top.
