¾ c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
1 egg
4 t. milk
1 ½ t. baking powder
1 ½ c. flour
½ t. salt
1 t. vanilla
For 10-15 min. until browned slightly.
Spread on cooled crust. Add fruit: mandarin oranges, bananas, strawberries, pineapple chunks, cherries, grapes, or whatever is in season. Top with shredded coconut if desired.
