Thinly slice apples & fill a 9 x 13 pan (almost to the top). Pour ¾ c. sugar over apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon & a dash of salt.
1 ½ cubes butter or margarine
1 ½ c. brown sugar
1 ½ t. vanilla
1 ½ c. oatmeal
½ c. flour
