CHERRY ALMOND PIE

1 – 9” Unbaked pie shell

About 30 oz. cherry pie filling

½ t. cinnamon
2-3 T. sugar
1 t. lemon ju.
1/8 t. salt

Mix all ingredients & put in unbaked pie shell. Bake at 400 for 20 min. (on bottom rack of oven).

1/8 t. salt
¼ c. milk
¼ t. almond extract
¼ c. sugar

1 c. coconut
1 t. margarine
½ c. sliced almonds
1 egg, beaten

Mix above ingredients & spoon over cherry pie filling, concentrating on edges first. (Middle will be just cherry pie filling mix). Bake 15-20 min. more until top is golden brown. (If pie crust edges start getting too dark, cover edges with foil the last 5 to 10 min.)
