BEST BANANA CREAM PIE

1 – 9” pastry shell – baked & cooled

2/3 c. sugar
2 c. milk
2 T. cornstarch
2 lg. egg yolks
1 T. butter
2 bananas, sliced

Stir sugar & cornstarch together in pan. Gradually stir in milk & egg yolks with a wire whip. Cook over med. heat stirring constantly until it boils 1 min. Take off heat. Stir in butter. Pour in bowl. Cover with plastic wrap & refrigerate 1 hr. Arrange bananas over pastry bottom. Pour in mixture. Cover with plastic wrap & refrigerate 6 hrs. or longer.
